The Past does not matter unless you still live in it. That’s right, keep playing the “Blame Game” and see where it gets you. At some point you need to take responsibility and grab the bull by the horns and take action. As I recently counseled a client whom was adopted, you need to let go of the circumstances that led up to your mother’s decision, it wasn’t personal to you. This pattern is not serving you. Why not create an ideal childhood that results in an incredible future? Our brains don’t really know fact from fiction. Have you ever gotten scared at a horror movie? Well you knew it was just a movie.
Once you are willing to ask if the pattern is serving you or not, and conclude that it is not, then you decide that you will take action. But deciding to take action and actually following through are 2 different things. This new thinking must become a conditioned pattern, like a daily workout. “IT” must change, “I MUST” change it, “I HAVE THE POWER” to change it. Like Masters of the Universe. Einstein said we cannot use the same thinking that created the problem to solve it. Start by changing the thinking.
