Magicians, politicians, and great car salespersons do this one quite well. If you can provide enough supporting references then you can turn any idea into a belief, a certainty, a truth. They can make you believe something… the magician convinces you he pulled a rabbit out of the hat.
I just did it to you. I took three professions where people have a belief that the people may be a little bit “seedy” or “tricky” and pointed out how they can cause you to believe something that is not true.
Guess what? We are all experts at it! We create beliefs all the time on scarce evidence. We read things and believe they are true. We hear things and believe they are true. We see things and believe they are true.
I say to you ask questions. Lots of questions. Lots of great questions. You will be astonished when you discover anew and better true that sets you free.
