Many times people will blame events or an event that they have experienced for the ways their lives have turned out. This can be true based on the meaning they have assigned associated with the event. More certain is that the decisions that we make will determine our destination. We cannot do much about the events, they happen, we most often didn’t ask for them, very many times we didn’t deserve them. Long time followers will know that I didn’t ask for my newborn son to die in my arms, others will know that I didn’t ask to be laid off when another child needed heart surgery. But these events happened and would ultimately aided me was assigning the meaning that they “happened for me rather than to me”.
The first event resulted in the hundreds to thousands of hours of study predating the launch of my professional coaching. The second led to the start of a business, Goodman Technologies, that is now in its 6th year and is going places. The “X” marks the spot will be to take the company public.
