A little science guy today. Ever look at a light bulb and wonder how it works? It is simply the flow of electrons through a filament, their encounter with the electrons and atoms that make up the filament, and causing those atoms to move back and forth in waves like an accordion going in and out as they absorb energy from the flow of electrons. That banging around of vibrating atoms is the conversion of the electrical energy to heat, and when the filament gets hot enough we see that energy as light. The light is the release of the excess energy caused by the flow of electrons. Different temperature and you get a different color of light. It’s a little different for different types of light (halogens, LEDs, incandescent).
But why do electrons flow? Well they behave like water running downhill due to gravity. They go from a higher potential to a lower potential. It is a Law of Physics, even a Law if the Universe. But to flow there must be a closed circuit, you have to decide to flip the light switch.
Well God is very much the light. One decides to flip the light switch, and if there is a potential difference, let’s call it humility or acceptance or commitment or surrender, use the word that suits you, then the energy flows.
