Do you know what these three words have in common? ANSWER: They were all the result of making a decision.
Who among you hasn’t heard at some time in your life that all actions have consequences? My guess is that it is a very high percentage of the population.
The consequences can be things like prosperity or poverty, sorrow or joy, a long life or early demise, disempowerment or empowerment, imprisonment or freedom. Let’s get really scary – how about eternal salvation or eternal damnation? And before you move on this is not going to be an essay on religion. Even Jesus didn’t like the religion of the day, going as far as to heal on the sabbath and calling out the hypocrisy of the religious leaders.
Based on my statements above and given the state of affairs in the world one could come to the conclusion that a vast number of youngsters dreamed of and made a decision to pursue eternal damnation. Well is that true?
Wait for it – here’s the mind blower – our human nature has condemned us to a fate of bad and disempowering results and outcomes. Our brain is wired for survival and avoidance of pain. What In our human nature is disempowering us? Well how about Pride, Lust, Anger, Greed, Gluttony, Envy and Sloth, aka the 7 “PLAGGUES”. Or if you don’t like those try selfishness, self-centeredness, dishonesty and fear. We all have them.
So what is the opposite of disempowerment but empowerment or POWER. Aligning with POWER prior to making a decision to take action will result in better outcomes and consequences. If you follow this blog this year you will learn how to tap into the power which resides within you and all around you.
