“Practice makes perfect”. “Repetition is the mother of skill”. “Get into the groove”. All are true. You can get into many good, repetitive habits like eating well, exercising, praying, meditating, a good golf swing and so much more. Practice and repetition with persistence and some skilled guidance or teachings will eventually allow you to reap the benefits of your actions.
However, there are many actions, practices, habits, expressions, beliefs that we exercise over and over again, and these will not get us where we want to go. We will call these patterns, patterns of language, patterns of physiology, and patterns of beliefs. The next time you don’t feel right about something e notice there is a pattern there.
