I am not going to focus on the tough times and the problem or challenges we are all facing right now, as your coach I am going to focus on Solutions. Of late I have been discussing OBCs. Today is about the power of a conviction. My MIL doesn’t say I think we should all be kind to animals which would be an opinion, she actually volunteers at shelters and many dog training events, she has a conviction. She has been rewarded by many fine experiences with her charges.
A great conviction right now would be that we can make the most of our time in sequestration together by having positive, hopeful, and meaningful discussions with family and friends, knowing that fear and the enemy are mainly centered in our minds. A conviction that this too shall pass. In multiple places in the Bible it was written that Jesus told us not to worry. If He says not to do something, well, don’t do it. Well how do I do that right now Dr. Bill?!! Easy, many times have I told you the brain can only think one thought at a time. So think about gratitude. Gratitude for food, family, shelter, friends, our first responders, our servicemen and servicewomen, that the weather will warm, that a strategy of temporary social separation does and will work, that God is with you and loves you right now.
Stay cheerful, hopeful, fearless. Do what must be done. Be patient, kind, loving and tolerant.
