December 31 was 132 days ago. There were no reports of cornona virus in the USA. There was almost no unemployment. My senior was looking forward to prom and graduating high school. I had a good number of business development trips and a couple of mini-vacations to rest up. The future looked rather rosy. I had a lot of opinions, beliefs and convictions.
Around me today I see many with shattered hopes and visions. I see many who are angry, bitter and fearful. I see many whom are stretched to what they feel is the breaking point (you won’t break!)
I also see many who are remaining calm in the storm. Adapting and doing the best they can.
I also see many taking action. Improvising, adapting and overcoming. I see change in the making.
I still have a lot of opinions, beliefs and convictions. Some have changed since December 31 – big time. I have to question them, to see if they move me in the direction I want to go, if they are empowering. There are better questions to be asked, better objectives to focus on. More awareness to embrace today. Carpe diem (suede the day) and Be still and know. See what’s in the cave. Decide.
